Weber Carb

Install Weber Carburetor for better performance. More gas, more go! Also gets rid of all that those stock vacuum lines and stock carb trouble.
Be sure to make the opening between the carb and manifold big and smooth, port match manifold to head recommended. Headers recommended.

Options:
1. Downdraft with electric choke, friendly in the winter.
2. Larger downdraft with manual choke for more performance, stock manifold.
3. Single sidedraft with special intake manifold for even better performance.

4. Dual sidedrafts for high rev fuel delivery.
5. Quad sidedrafts for the ultimate performance!

Exhaust Header

Install header to get rid of exhaust restrictions. Also follow it all the way back with a bigger pipe and better muffler.

Options:
1. Jap exhaust manifold is a great start, 4>2>1 Design, cast iron and great for low-end torque up to 7K rpm.
2. Many other headers 4 >1 Design, best for high revs.
3. Dynomax, Flowmaster, SuperTrapp mufflers.

Ignition System

Install ignition system, preferebly to get rid of the points-driven distributer.

Options:
1. Fit a newer Civic Distributer with magnetic pickup
Use extra original 1200 Distributer spacers to make it fit right due to the longer shaft.
2. Fit a Crane Cams XR3000 or better ignition, optically triggered.
3. Fit an Electromotive Crank fired system - $$$$.
4. Use MSD system to bump up the spark!

Tranny

Install 5 Speed Tranny from Civic 1500 CVCC, best one is the Jap 5 speed with a true 5th gear, NO OD! Others are the Wagon and 1975, 1976 models. Look for the Chrome gearshift while you're at it! Spec sheets show closer gearing and higher final drive.

Install 1300cc Crank, Rods, and Flywheel from an early 80s model Civic 1300cc. More torque, longer stroke, great mod when upgrading pistons (see below).

Gauges

Install deluxe gauges from CVCC. Includes tach, speedo, fuel and gas are in the center of the dash behind the ashtray.

The wires are already in your 1200! Just hook the blue wire under the hood to the negative side of you coil and your new tach will work!

Brake upgrade

Bigger brakes, better brakes. Steel braided lines a plus. Cross Drilled rotors and metallic pads are available.

Options:
1. Fit front hub, rotors, brake lines from a 1500cc Civic CVCC wagon, bigger pads, calipers, rotors.
NOTE: 12 inch wheels will no longer fit!
2. I hear disk brakes from a CRX can be modified to fit the rear?!? Integra Front Suspension?!?
3. Cut hole in floorboard in front of seats, buy some Converse Chuck Taylors, and use the Flinstone technique!
