A Guide to Fag Roasting

We have perfected the roasting of fags (lower classmen) to an art. While attending Rugby School, we have roasted literally hundreds over an open flame. This guide provides a description of the proper method to obtain a nice even shade of brown without setting the poor fag afire.

The Fire

Do not use coal or a soft wood such as pine. It burns too fast. Not only might it char the fag, you will work up a sweat stoking the fire to keep an even temperature. Instead use a hardwood such as oak or sea coal. It burns more slowly and consistently (this is important for a nice even color). Also, a hardwood fire is much more manageable.

The fire should be two or two and one-half feet wide, unless the fag is extra large, in which case the fire needs to be at least the width of the fag. The fire should run the length of the spit or at least the height of the fag.

Start the fire at least 30 minutes before hand. When the flames have all subsided and left a mass of glowing embers, take a temperature reading. The temperature should be between 200 and 275 degrees at the spit. Its ready! Time to capture the fag!

The Capture

Don’t attempt to capture one who is bathing or swimming. Although this might be tempting since it will save you the trouble of stripping him later, he will be slippery making him harder to catch and the wet skin and lower body temperature will extend the roasting time by at least 10 minutes. The best time to catch a fag unawares is when he is preparing for bed or has already retired.

Regardless of when or where you capture him, try to strip him immediately. This will add to the humiliation, especially if he is in public or amidst company. He may put up a fight. If he becomes too much to handle. Cockhold him. A blackjack or club will do nicely.

The Preparation

If the fag is not naked by this point, then strip him. Clothing will catch fire as he is turned. Although this is an interesting sight and varied enough for wagering, it will result in charring and an uneven color. Rub him down with olive oil. Pour a liberal amount over his genitals otherwise they will singe. Tie his hands together behind his back and his ankles together. With the fag face down, slide the spit under his wrists and along the length of his body. Tie him to it at the ankles, knees, waist and under the arms at the shoulders. Then position the fag over the fire.

The Roasting

Turn the fag at a rate of about 10 seconds per rotation. A slower rate will cause charring and a faster rate will delay browning. The temperature at the spit will drop 50 to 75 degrees ... something to do the heat absorption. Continue this for about 10 minutes. This low heat should result in a darkish tan over the fag’s entire body.

Baste the fag with another layer of olive oil and then stoke the fire to raise the temperature quickly. Watch the flames closely. The flames should gently lick the body but not linger long on the skin. Use cups of water to douse flames as necessary.

If the fag passes out, take him off the spit and revive him. It's more fun when he's alert and after all you don't want to kill him.

If you hear a popping or sizzling sound, then the fag’s hair is burning. Douse both his head and groin with water or better yet, horse piss if available. After 5 minutes, take the fag off the fire and cut him loose.

Admiring Your Work

The fag should be a evenly colored light brown. The browning should last 4 to 6 weeks and cause him no end of embarrassment and humiliation.
